Procurement Specialist for Mechanical Packages Manufacturing

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and developing suppliers based on quality, price, logistics, capacity, and performance; negotiating prices and terms with suppliers and actively looking for ways to reduce costs while securing the best parts and services for the assembly of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure parts and components for production needs in accordance with the production plan and forecast
  • Negotiate prices and terms with vendors and sign supply agreements as necessary
  • Develop a strong network of vendors who can deliver high-quality parts and components at competitive prices
  • Consult with existing and potential suppliers to offer suggestions on improvements
  • Create and drive solutions to improve on-time-delivery (OTD) and lead times

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of purchasing and materials control experience in a mechanical packages manufacturing environment
  • Pumps and compressors experience is an asset
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to read blueprints is an asset
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
