Job Summary

HAMILTON STEEL LOGISTICS is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding and metal fabrication.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Punctuality and reliability to meet deadlines and maintain a safe working environment.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment.
