Retail Store Supervisor Job Description
Petro Canada is seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of retail staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service.
- Assign sales workers to duties, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided.
- Teach interest or professional development courses to staff, promoting their growth and development.
- Authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and secure.
- Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions.
- Authorize return of merchandise, ensuring that all returns are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Establish work schedules, ensuring that all staff are aware of their duties and responsibilities.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to management.
Work Environment:
The Retail Store Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of customer interaction. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines.

- Ability to work effectively in a team.
