Farm Worker

We are seeking a skilled Farm Worker to join our team at Canmark Family Farming Ltd. as a Hog Management specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling animals, monitoring animal health, and performing various tasks related to pig farming.
Key Responsibilities- Handling and caring for hogs and pigs
- Monitoring animal health and detecting any disease or health problems
- Performing tasks such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering medication, and castration
- Feeding and tending to animals
- Cleaning stables, barns, barnyards, and pens
- Setting and monitoring water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The ability to distinguish between colours and attention to detail are essential for this role.
Requirements- Organized and able to work in a team
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing situations
- Previous experience in agriculture or animal handling is an asset
