About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Farm Laborer to join our team at Canmark Family Farming Ltd. as a Hog Farm Worker.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle and care for hogs and pigs, ensuring their health and well-being.
  • Monitor animal health and detect any signs of disease or health problems.
  • Perform tasks such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering medication, and castration.
  • Feed and tend to animals, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and care.
  • Clean and maintain stables, barns, barnyards, and pens to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks. They will be required to work in a rural area with staff accommodation available.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar field.
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and work in a team environment.
  • Organized and flexible with a strong attention to detail.
