Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
  • Develop and implement individually designed treatment plans to maintain, improve, or restore physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to develop treatment goals and encourage family participation in the treatment plan.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and communicate regularly with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices, research, and legislative requirements.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited university program in occupational therapy.
  • Current registration with, or eligible for registration with, The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to stay organized and prioritize effectively.
