Job Summary

CSS Wind Inc. is seeking a skilled Windmill Repairer to join our team. As a Windmill Repairer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our wind turbines by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance tasks on wind turbines, including lubricating moving parts, replacing worn-out components, and repairing or replacing defective machinery parts.
  • Troubleshooting: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in wind turbines, using blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Assembly and Fabrication: Assemble mechanical equipment, fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up, and operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
  • Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Hoisting and Rigging Training, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Electrical and electronic controls, hydraulic system, power tools, tool grinders, turbines, and hand tools.
  • Area of Specialization: Renovating and restoring, rigging and handling, and troubleshooting.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel, valid driver's license, and travel expenses paid by employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, overtime required, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Team player.
