Job Title: Emergency Room Attendant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Attendant to join our team at Brampton-Georgetown Animal Hospital Professional Corporation.

Job Summary:

The Emergency Room Attendant will provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and treatment
  • Set up and maintain equipment, including sterilization and instrumentation
  • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment
  • Record vital signs and collect statistics
  • Maintain supplies and inventory of equipment
  • Process files and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Schedule and confirm appointments
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Flexibility and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Judgement and ability to make sound decisions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word skills
Work Environment:

This role is based in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting, with a 30-hour workweek and permanent employment opportunity.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.
