At Software International, we are seeking a skilled Senior Business Strategist to lead our global IT M&A client in the Toronto area.

Job Description

The Senior Business Strategist will collaborate with senior leadership team members across the organization, managing diverse projects spanning various areas, including market assessment and analysis, competitive landscape assessment, reporting and dashboarding, standardization of critical KPIs, and industry trends and analysis.

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in all aspects of successful B2B software company management, from strategic planning to execution. It provides a dynamic platform with a global scope and ample prospects for long-term career progression.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and analysis to formulate strategy recommendations.
  • Analyze and synthesize key insights from diverse data sources to drive strategy and inform decision-making.
  • Promote thought leadership by developing reusable data assets.
  • Support leaders in strategic planning and long-term business strategy development.
  • Collaborate across departments like finance, M&A, and portfolio teams for in-depth research and analysis.
  • Assess organic growth opportunities and contribute to fostering a culture of innovation.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics, engineering, mathematics, philosophy, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or a similar analytical role, with a background in the software industry being advantageous.

We offer a hybrid work environment that includes occasional travel and remote work. The estimated salary for this role is $125,000 - $145,000 as base depending on overall experience + bonus + benefits + other great company perks, with OTEs for this role about 160-180k total comp.
