Job Summary

:

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

The Logistics Technician will be responsible for monitoring the Pouch Sorter activity, ensuring the mechanization runs efficiently through analyses of workload, order allocation, and waving. The incumbent will provide recommendations on labor balancing and indicate where troubleshooting of the warehouse and automation management system is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Pouch Sorter and Automation for errors in the system
  • Identify errors in the system and promptly notify Senior Technician and B2C Management
  • Create IT Tickets and escalate errors in the system associated with downtime
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and proactively plan for future projects
  • Verify that equipment or tools are in good working condition, not past due maintenance or calibration
  • Evaluate automation performance and make informed decisions on waving and releasing orders
  • Evaluate automation bottlenecks and communicate with Senior Technician and Logistic Coordinator
  • Assist with physical inventories, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation
  • Report any process anomalies or operating supply shortages to operations management
  • Communicate continuous improvements and suggestions to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze, identify abnormalities in system performance, and problem-solve
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Access is an asset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Analytical and detail-oriented

Work Schedule:

Sunday to Thursday: 7AM–3:30PM

Monday to Friday: 12PM–8:30PM

Reports to:

General Manager

Primary Interactions:

The primary exchange will be with Operations management, Engineering, and Client

Minimum Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma
  • Experience or education in a warehouse work environment is preferred
  • Engineering, computer science, or related technical degree is preferred

Hourly Pay: $24/HR

Work Environment:

This position may require working in a loud environment, standing or sitting for long periods of time, and working at a computer 95% of the time monitoring 6-7 television monitors.
