Job Summary:
As a key member of our culinary team, the Line Supervisor plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our resort's dining facilities. Reporting directly to the Head Chef and Sous Chef, this individual is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the kitchen staff, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and high-quality food preparation.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed, and that the kitchen remains clean and organized at all times.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop and implement menus, and to maintain inventory levels.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to customer complaints and feedback.
- Monitor and control food costs, and implement strategies to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and implement new ideas and initiatives to improve the resort's dining experience.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a food preparation role in a professional dining establishment.
- Previous experience leading a line and ensuring food and presentation standards are maintained.
- Food Safe or other food handling certification is an asset.
