At Bayshore HealthCare, we are committed to providing exceptional healthcare services to those who have served and continue to serve our country. We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Esquimalt, BC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat military personnel with varying levels of injury or illness to reduce/eliminate barriers impacting participation in valued roles and routines.
  • Consult/advise regionally with medical authorities on occupational therapy practice and provide oversight of regional or local occupational therapy services.
  • Follow all applicable Health Information and Records Management documentation standards and policies.
  • Complete in-clearance activities within the first two weeks of work.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as an Occupational Therapist with various orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological, pre and postsurgical adult populations.
  • Experience with at least four of the following specific rehabilitation fields: upper extremity injuries, chronic pain patients, cognitive and/or mental health rehabilitation, home access assessment, provision of assistive devices, injury prevention and ergonomics, driving rehabilitation, or vocational rehabilitation.
  • Current N95 mask fit certificate and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification.
