Job Title: Personal Support Worker

CarePartners is seeking a Personal Support Worker to join our team in the Cobourg and surrounding area. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team. As a Personal Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personal care and support to patients in their homes, including assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and promoting a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as personal care, household tasks, and respite care
  • Provide cognitive, social, and emotional support to patients
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, including special diets as determined by the care plan
  • Promote a safe environment by demonstrating proper body mechanics, safe transfer techniques, and home safety
Requirements:
  • Valid certificate as a Personal Support Worker, Internationally Trained Nurse, Health Care Aid, Developmental Support Worker, Home Support Worker, or enrollment in a Nursing program
  • Current vulnerable sector check screening and a clear background check
  • Availability to work non-traditional hours, including early morning, evenings, and alternate weekends
