Job Summary:
Mircom Group of Companies is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in the Building Automation System (BAS) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and stability of our BAS products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test strategies and procedures for design verification of network controllers, field controllers, and system configuration tools.
- Design and develop documentation of test procedures and regression test plans.
- Perform feature, functional, stability, and regression testing of BAS products.
- Design, implement, and manage lab test networks.
- Coordinate testing activities with the BAS team.
- Assist in reproducing customers' issues in the QA lab.
- Provide feedback to developers to improve the usability of BAS products.
- Maintain a high level of workmanship quality throughout test cycles.
- Maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Requirements and Skills:
- Diploma in electrical, electronics, electro-mechanical, mechatronics, robotics, building automation, programmable logic controllers, or related technology.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Self-motivated and works well in a team environment.
- Experience with issue tracking, development, and management tools, such as JIRA, Zephyr, and Playwright.
- Experience within building automation, fire, security, or similar industries.
- Experience with building automation systems and/or programmable logic controllers.
- Understanding of networking equipment setup, operation, and concepts.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience working with electronic circuitry and engineering lab test equipment.
- Experience with product installation and configuration, including hand tools.
- 2+ years of related work experience.
- JavaScript programming experience.
- C/C++ programming experience.
- Soldering experience (through hole, surface mount, de-soldering).
- Circuit debugging and troubleshooting experience.
