Job Title: Patient Care Attendant

Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Attendant to join our team at Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre. As a Patient Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities
  • Perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
  • Supply and empty bed pans
  • Serve meal trays and feed patients
  • Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
  • Make beds and maintain patients' rooms
  • Bathe, dress and groom patients
  • Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
  • Answer call signals to determine patients' needs
  • Provide personal care
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment

Requirements:

  • Criminal record check
  • Immunization records
  • Vulnerable sector check
  • Tuberculosis test

Work Environment: Our team works in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with repetitive tasks, and physically demanding work. You will be required to stand for extended periods, combine sitting, standing, and walking, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling.
