Job Title: Sports Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sports Coach to join our team at Bolder Climbing Community. As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for coordinating competitive programs, developing well-planned schedules and programs, and planning, developing, and implementing training and practice sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate competitive programs and develop well-planned schedules and programs
  • Plan, develop, and implement training and practice sessions
  • Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
  • Participate in coaching clinic instruction and analyze and evaluate athletes' or team's performance
  • Supervise staff or team and select and purchase equipment and supplies
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses
  • Develop and manage programs and services, demonstrate and instruct athletic, fitness, or sports activities and techniques, and conduct safety training programs
  • Coaching, assist with coordination of recreational, sport, and fitness events, and maintain and repair sports equipment
  • Leading/instructing groups and individuals, provide technical and professional advice, and plan and carry out recreational, fitness, and sports activities
  • Monitor recreational, sports, or fitness activities to ensure safety and provide emergency or first aid assistance when required
  • Participate in provincial and/or national competitions and sporting events
Requirements:
  • 3-4 years of experience in a related field
  • Regional level athletic experience
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
