Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Waste Management Specialist to join our team at REGIONAL RECYCLING WHISTLER. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient collection and disposal of waste in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Vehicle Operations: Operate various vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Logistics and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, report any malfunctions to supervisors, and keep logs of daily activities.
  • Materials Handling: Load and unload goods, pick up and deliver materials, and sort packages for delivery.
  • Documentation: Maintain a driver logbook and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
