Operations Supervisor - Fraser Valley Region

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Fraser Valley region team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, capital construction projects, and emergency response procedures. Your primary focus will be on maintaining the safety of your team and the integrity of our assets and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of unionized employees to meet daily requirements, commitments, and projects.
  • Familiarize yourself with software and applications used to schedule and complete deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels in collaboration with internal resources.
  • Manage contracted services in accordance with established terms and conditions.
  • Participate in the recruitment process, interview, and select new employees to the team.
  • Coach, mentor, and support your team to support performance, quality of work, and ongoing training and development of staff.
  • Travel to work sites to provide quality oversight and maintain compliance with work and industry standards, applicable metrics, and service level agreements.

Requirements:
  • Five years of management experience with a focus on natural gas infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in construction, underground utilities, and emergency response is an asset.
  • A passion for developing quality solutions with a safety-focused mindset.
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to strengthening connections in the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite such as Word, Excel, etc.
