Operations Supervisor Job Description

Riverside Forest Products (2018) Inc. is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train and develop employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of equipment and machinery, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Resolve work-related problems and provide technical advice to employees to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Coordinate and assign work tasks, reviewing progress and providing feedback to employees.
  • Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to be carried out, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Establish and maintain work schedules and procedures to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • Efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and management.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Organized and reliable, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, providing support and guidance to colleagues.
Experience:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position, working 40 hours per week.
  • Language of work: English.
