Key Responsibilities:- Drive Safely: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
- Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods at designated locations, taking care to secure cargo and prevent damage.
- Inspect Vehicle: Regularly inspect your vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
- Record Information: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as required.
- Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
- Licenses and Certifications: AZ class license and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working independently or as part of a team, driving across the country and working extended hours. You must be physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
