Job Overview

This permanent opportunity is available for an Economist in Construction with 1-2 years of experience. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing data and making informed decisions to drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze labour and material costs to prepare estimates
  • Prepare pre-qualification submissions to present to clients
  • Determine work requirements from blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Project cash flow and financing requirements
  • Submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors
