We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PRABHSIMRAN CONSTRUCTION LTD. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to meet project requirements.
- Project Management: Prepare tenders and quotations, schedule and co-ordinate work on sites, and ensure timely completion of projects.
- Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices, supervise other workers, and provide guidance and support to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Quality Control: Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments to meet high standards of quality and safety.
- Administrative Tasks: Estimate costs and materials, and maintain accurate records of project progress and completion.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Work Environment: Ability to work at heights, in dusty conditions, and in various work settings including construction, renovation, and millwork/pre-fab shopwork.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
- Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
