Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installation Specialist to join our team at K-Town Carpets and Flooring Ltd. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality carpeting and flooring solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Measure Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered and measure them accurately to ensure a precise fit.
  • Prepare Flooring Plans: Prepare detailed flooring plans and schedules to ensure efficient installation.
  • Install Carpeting: Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors, walls, and other surfaces.
  • Prepare Tenders and Quotations: Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, including estimates of costs and materials.
  • Inspect and Repair Damaged Floor Coverings: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings to ensure a smooth installation process.
  • Conduct Pre-Installation Tests: Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Estimate Costs and Materials: Estimate costs and materials required for each installation project.
  • Prepare Floors for Installation: Prepare floors for installation by removing existing floor coverings and contaminants.
  • Install Carpeting on Walls and Other Surfaces: Install carpeting on walls and other surfaces as required.
  • Perform Direct Glue-Down Carpet Installations: Perform direct glue-down carpet installations using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Perform Double-Bond Carpet Installations: Perform double-bond carpet installations using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Install Outdoor Carpets: Install outdoor carpets in various settings, including residential and commercial properties.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints and Specifications: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.

  • Physical Accessibility Accommodations: Provide physical accessibility accommodations, such as ramps and elevators, to ensure equal access for all.
