We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological services to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based psychotherapies to individuals with mental health disorders.
- Risk Assessment and Intervention: Conduct risk assessments, develop crisis intervention plans, and provide support to individuals at risk of harm to themselves or others.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, community agencies, and service providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals with mental health needs.
- Education and Supervision: Provide education and supervision to students, residents, and junior staff members, and participate in academic activities to advance the field of clinical psychology.
- Research and Evaluation: Participate in program evaluation and research activities to inform best practices and improve mental health services.
- Leadership and Professional Development: Demonstrate leadership in the development of an independent program of clinically-oriented research, and engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field.
- Education: Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program.
- Registration: Registered or Eligible for Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, with authorized areas of practice in Clinical Psychology, and authorized client population with Adults.
- Experience: Minimum of Five years of experience in clinical mental health settings, with at least 2 years of experience working with individuals with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, bipolar and related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, trauma and stressor-related disorders, and substance-related disorders.
- Skills: Demonstrated competency in delivering evidence-based treatment in both individual and group formats, effective mentoring and clinical supervision skills, and excellent communication, organizational, critical thinking, and goal-setting skills.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and will be expected to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.
