Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Principal Mine Planning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our geological engineering group, you will be responsible for developing and implementing mine plans that align with our corporate objectives.
In this role, you will execute or provide direct supervision to both internal staff and external consultants to complete mine planning aspects for Scoping, Prefeasibility and Feasibility studies. You will also ensure the technical integrity and quality of all technical work associated with Mineral Reserves evaluation in accordance with applicable regulations.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Strong Technical Background: A bachelor's degree in mining engineering or geology with a minimum of 10 years of progressive responsibilities in an underground hard rock mining environment;
- Leadership and Supervision: Recognized as a Qualified Person under NI 43-101, JORC and/or Registered Member of SME;
- Technical Software Proficiency: Demonstrated expert-level competency with Mine Design and Scheduling software package (preferably Deswik).
