About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic - Small Engines and Equipment Specialist to join our team at Sunset Ranch Golf Course. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our golf course equipment and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on golf course equipment, including small engines, to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain and repair golf course vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair equipment and vehicle issues, using a range of tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems.
  • Supply and Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of spare parts and supplies, ensuring that the maintenance team has the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to relevant health and safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Automobile repair services.
  • Tasks: Estimate repair costs, adjust, repair, or replace parts using hand tools and equipment, test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance, perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment, replace oil, air, and fuel filters on motor vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment, change engine oil and lubricate running gears or moving parts of automobiles, trucks, or heavy equipment.
  • Supervision: Mechanical repairers (motor vehicle manufacturing).
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Gasoline-powered equipment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Organized, reliability, team player, work term: permanent, work language: English, hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
