Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Technician to join our team at OKANAGAN POWER EQUIPMENT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing engines and motors, as well as performing scheduled maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and isolate faults on engines and motors using advanced diagnostic techniques
  • Document inspections and tests made on engines and motors, ensuring accurate and detailed records
  • Review work orders and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient use of time and resources
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts using hand tools and equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications
  • Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring high-quality results
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service on equipment, including routine inspections and repairs
  • Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment, providing excellent customer service
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in small engine repair
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to handle heavy loads
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods
  • Organized and reliable, with strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
