About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Analyst to join our team. As a Policy Analyst, you will work on a variety of complex policy projects to advance equity and anti-racism initiatives in Nova Scotia. This includes projects related to the Dismantling Racism and Hate Act, Nova Scotia's Equity and Anti-Racism Strategy, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ Action Plan.

Primary Accountabilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of policy options, developing and recommending solutions to senior management.
  • Provide project management and support to designated projects and initiatives, building effective working relationships across government.
  • Develop and prepare high-quality policy documents, reports, and briefing materials for the minister, Deputy, and Premier.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as project management, policy, or research methods. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in policy analysis, project management, and report writing. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for this role.
