Job Title: Executive Director

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) in its mission to provide a vibrant and inclusive arts and culture experience for the community.

About the Role:

The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the overall strategy and direction of the BPAC, including programming, marketing, fundraising, and community engagement. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the arts and culture sector, with a strong understanding of the performing arts industry and its trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the BPAC, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality arts and culture programs and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, arts organizations, community groups, and government agencies.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to ensure effective governance and decision-making.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in leading performing arts venues or similar organizations.
  • A university degree in arts and/or business management or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
