About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Resource Manager for Environmental Conservation to join our team at Kátł'odeeche First Nation.

This is a three-year term position that offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in environmental conservation and community development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure successful completion of projects related to environmental conservation.
  2. Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Chief and Council on project progress, outcomes, and recommendations.
  3. Coordination: Work closely with various stakeholders, including KFN Community Members, Dehcho First Nation, and other outside agencies to coordinate efforts and achieve common goals.
  4. Community Consultation: Facilitate community consultations and meetings to gather input and feedback from KFN members and other stakeholders.
  5. Communications: Develop and disseminate effective communication plans to raise awareness about environmental conservation initiatives and promote community engagement.
  6. Administration and Organizational Duties: Provide administrative support to the Chief and Council, including maintenance of records, coordination of events, and other organizational duties as required.

This position requires a mature individual with post-secondary certification and experience in administration, as well as strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of post-secondary certification and experience in administration.
  • Experience in carrying out community consultations and/or facilitating community meetings.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Knowledge of Ejié Túé Ndáde is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Dene yati and the KFN community is an asset.
  • Successful completion of a criminal records check.
Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 CAD, dependent on education, skills, and experience.

High priority will be given to KFN members with the required qualifications. Remuneration will be based on education, skills, and experience.
