About the RoleThe Logistics Operations Executive will be responsible for managing the delivery operations across assigned Staples Canada and Staples Professional fulfillment centers. This includes overseeing fleet acquisition and maintenance, managing overflow third-party delivery, and optimizing routes.
The role ensures that deliveries meet customer satisfaction goals by maintaining safety, efficiency, and accuracy standards. Additionally, the manager collaborates with the Transportation Director, Carrier Management team, and direct reports to develop strategies for achieving daily, weekly, and monthly customer service and financial targets.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and support National and Regional Transportation strategies and programs consistent with the company philosophy.
- Confer with Trans Director and Transportation Manager/Supervisor to improve transportation services to customers.
- Determine optimal equipment utilization and all other transportation and logistics opportunities in the fleet footprint.
- Reduce delivery expense as a percent to sales by implementing or managing for results various tools and systems.
The Logistics Operations Executive will also oversee Staples fleet drivers, manage the services, safety performance, and productivity performance of the delivery fleet operations. In addition, they will interact independently with third-party couriers to identify and implement operations best practices.
