About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team at POWER TOWING & RECOVERY LTD. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently towing and recovering vehicles, as well as performing routine maintenance and inspections on our fleet of heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operations: Drive a tow truck as part of a two-person team or convoy, and oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Towing and Recovery: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle towing and recovery.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform brake adjustments, and inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train, but previous experience in heavy equipment operation and towing is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, hardworking, and patient.
