Job Summary:
Brightshores is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to patients in various clinical settings, including critical care and sleep labs.
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct patient education and training on respiratory care and disease management.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- Current registration and in good standing with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario.
- Recent inpatient acute/critical care experience.
- Ability to work in all aspects of Respiratory Therapy Services, including sleep labs.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent patient teaching ability.
- Ability to work all shifts, including weekends, on-call, and multi-site coverage when required.
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
- Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record.
- Adherence to Brightshores' CARE Behaviours and LEAD Competencies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent experience in a hospital setting, including critical care and neonatal nursery.
- Recent sleep lab experience.
