Job Summary

Alberta Precision Laboratories is seeking a highly skilled Anatomical Pathologist to join our team. As a key member of our medical diagnostics team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing diseases and physiological disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders through microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens.
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods, and study the nature, cause, and development of diseases.
  • Supervise laboratory activities and act as consultants to other physicians, referring patients for surgery when necessary.
  • Prepare research papers for publication and presentation, and order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
  • Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
  • Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
  • Specialty residency training, and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination
  • Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
Work Environment

This is a permanent position in a hospital setting, with a fast-paced environment, physically demanding work, and tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
