Diesel Service Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at Bayview Trucks - Moncton. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and Diagnosis: Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
- Parts Identification: Identify and determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
- Warranty and Documentation: Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
- Testing and Verification: Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
- Technical Reports: Complete technical reports from different manufacturers, in a timely and accurate manner.
- After-Hours Service: Available to work covering the after-hours service call for emergencies.
- Teamwork and Professionalism: Ability to work in a team environment and present themselves in a professional manner with a positive cooperative attitude.
- Workplace Organization: Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Certification: Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician - minimum Block 3 completion.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move a maximum 50 lbs., or in accordance with provincial workplace health & safety standards.
- Training and Development: Willing and able to continue training.
- Credentials: Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based software.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in a Service environment.
