Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our Support Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our environmental services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the service
  • Conduct quality audits and provide feedback to staff to maintain high standards
  • Support a collaborative working environment and lead initiatives to improve service quality
  • Supervise and develop human resources, including assigning duties and responsibilities
  • Perform financial responsibilities and monitor equipment maintenance
  • Work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Infection Prevention and Control Standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-year community college program in Healthcare Environmental Services Management or equivalent
  • 5 years of housekeeping/linen/transportation supervisory experience
  • Experience with Quality Improvement programs and conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and technical knowledge of housekeeping equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
