Job Overview


This Strategic Growth Manager role is part of our Segment Strategy team, reporting directly to the Director of Segment Strategy. Your mission will be to create shareholder value by working on critical strategic initiatives across the segment.



Role Responsibilities



  • Support the segment in developing strategies that drive above-market organic and inorganic growth
  • Manage projects to identify new growth platforms and opportunities in attractive market spaces
  • Work closely with Management to prioritize cross-functional involvement and real-time input as the external environment evolves


Key Areas of Focus



  1. Strategy Planning & Tracking: Guiding the segment on its 'where to play' and 'how to win' choices to drive growth, improve profitability, and sustain competitive advantage globally and regionally
  2. Market / Competitive Intelligence: Lead cross-functional teams in solving business problems using a hypothesis-driven approach
  3. Growth Strategy (organic and inorganic): Support the strategic planning process, deepen strategic capabilities, and track execution of the long-term strategy
  4. Talent Development: Actively develop talent, provide coaching and feedback, and nurture a diverse, inclusive environment


Requirements



  • 3+ years of management consulting experience post-graduate degree
  • 2+ years of experience working in corporate strategy for an industrial company in the automotive space (OEMs, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers)
  • Experience interfacing with executives and C-suite through effective communication of ideas and plans
  • Demonstrated leadership potential in a business environment

Salary and Benefits


The estimated salary for this position is CAD $175,000 per year, based on industry standards and market conditions. Additionally, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
