We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ridge Meadows Hospital in Maple Ridge, BC. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and implementation. You will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive abilities, functional needs, and goals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to ensure effective care planning and coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on occupational therapy principles and practices.
- Current full registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia (COTBC).
- Knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of research process and methodology.
