Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Architect to lead our Calgary office as a Principal or Senior Associate. This role will drive business development, client management, and project delivery, contributing significantly to the growth of Kasian Architecture Interior Design and Planning Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development: Develop and execute a business strategy to grow Kasian's presence in the Calgary market, focusing on Commercial, Residential, Workplace, Healthcare, Senior Living, Public, and Industrial sectors.
  2. Leadership and Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Architects and support staff, ensuring excellent design outcomes and timely project delivery.
  3. Project Delivery: Provide project leadership and client management, maintaining a high level of billability (50% minimum) and ensuring profitable project delivery.
  4. Design Excellence: Champion innovative design concepts that meet functional goals within project budgets, inspiring design teams to create outstanding designs.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of industry experience with a proven track record of business development and leadership.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, excellent client networks in Calgary, and strong industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional leadership potential, capable of managing a team, and driving business growth.
  • A portfolio of projects and designs demonstrating expertise in architectural design and project management.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
