Job Summary

Horizon North is seeking a skilled Electrical Tradesperson to join our team. As an Electrical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for performing electrical work on new manufactured and renovated buildings. This includes loading and unloading materials, moving materials to work areas, and performing rough-in and finishing electrical work with lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire. You will also be responsible for splicing, joining, and connecting wires, troubleshooting and isolating faults, and installing, replacing, and repairing electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces. Additionally, you will test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and the integrity of circuits, clean and store tools and equipment, and maintain site equipment to the highest possible condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical work on new manufactured and renovated buildings
  • Load and unload materials, and move materials to work areas
  • Perform rough-in and finishing electrical work with lumex wire, BX, Tech Cable, and Cab tire
  • Splice, join, and connect wires
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Install, replace, and repair electrical controls, panel boxes, HVAC units, and furnaces
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and the integrity of circuits
  • Clean and store tools and equipment
  • Maintain site equipment to the highest possible condition

Requirements
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school education and a Journeyman Certificate in Electrical
  • 5 years of electrical experience
  • Knowledge of applicable industry and company codes, standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade
  • Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management, and decision-making skills
  • Able to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines
  • Able to work individually and as a team member
  • Able to safely and comfortably carry out physical duties
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to health/safety of self and co-workers
