We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Howard Johnson Grande Prairie. This is a permanent position that offers excellent opportunities for career growth and development.

About the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, as well as contacting tradespersons for major repairs. They will also be required to perform safety and security checks, supervise other workers, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The work environment is physically demanding, requiring the ability to bend, crouch, and kneel. The ideal candidate will have strong physical capabilities and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar position. You will be required to work 40 hours per week and have excellent dependability and reliability skills. Fluency in English is a must.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 CAD, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
