Job Title: Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant

Job Summary:

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant to join our team. As a Physician Assistant, you will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. As a Clinical Assistant, you will assist with administrative tasks and provide support to the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews and take medical histories
  • Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests
  • Diagnose and treat illnesses, develop management plans, and consult specialist services
  • Perform procedures and counsel patients on preventative healthcare
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant educational program (for Physician Assistant role)
  • Hold a degree in Medicine from a nationally approved Faculty of Medicine and complete an approved Clinical Assistant Program (for Clinical Assistant role)
  • Eligibility to be licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
  • Flexible with superior organization skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to show sound judgment and discretion when working with confidential patient information
  • Superior work ethic, professionalism, and reliability
  • Commitment to high standards in patient care and knowledge of safe work practices
