Job Description

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform a comprehensive tender process from invitation to submission for a 100% self-performance excavating company.
  • Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and cost estimations.
  • Review scope and complete bid forms.
  • Conduct site visits and attend bid interviews.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Prepare RFIs (Request for Information) with clients.
  • Maintain the tender tracker and track submissions.
  • Follow up with clients throughout the bidding process.
  • Review production with the operations team.
  • Mentor and train junior team members.
  • Present bid opportunities to management.
  • Seek new excavation opportunities.
  • Bring new clients and business to the company.
  • Proactively seek out fresh avenues for excavation projects, utilizing industry networks, market analysis, and strategic partnerships.

The Successful Applicant

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of construction experience.
  • 2+ years of excavating-focused estimating experience.
  • Experience working for a specialist excavating subcontractor is highly preferred.

What's on Offer:

The salary for this position will vary depending on the level of experience and the level of seniority that the role is hired at. The range will be between $90,000 - $150,000. Benefits include an annual bonus, a matched pension scheme, and health & dental cover.
