Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Specialist to join our team at our Redwater, Alberta site. As a key member of our Special Projects Procurement team, you will be responsible for governing and maintaining the integrity of our inventory materials, processes, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Govern and maintain the integrity of inventory materials, processes, and procedures at the site level.
  • Provide expert-level cataloguing advice, support, and training to ensure material master data is set up, maintained, and retired appropriately.
  • Lead and facilitate approval for spare parts changes and additions, and manage approval workflows to ensure timely processing between the Master Catalogue and ERP.
  • Work with the Central Inventory Optimization Team to lead site inventory review processes, including coordinating reviews of inventory usage and validation of stock levels with Maintenance (Min/Max optimization).
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Warehouse Supervisor, and Inventory Optimization and Planning Team to identify and execute optimization, rationalization, and obsolescence opportunities.
  • Manage inventory expedited materials to ensure an appropriate stock strategy.
  • Manage the preventative maintenance program for spare parts in inventory.
  • Coordinate and track repairable spares.

Requirements

  • Journeyperson, technician, or technologist certificate.
  • Maintenance trades knowledge and understanding of how work is performed in an industrial setting.
  • 3+ years of relevant maintenance and/or operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of integrated processes within Procurement, Warehouse Management, Maintenance & Reliability, Planning & Scheduling, Capital and Turnaround Management.
  • Excellent computer aptitude – Advanced Excel skills, SAP, sparesFinder, and working knowledge of Power BI, MS Office, Sharepoint, etc.
