Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Client Service Assistant to join our team at BMO. As a key member of our Wealth Sales & Service team, you will provide exceptional client service and support to our Investment Advisors and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate marketing activities, including website and social media initiatives, to promote our advisory team and services.
  • Assist with client meetings, including scheduling appointments and preparing necessary materials.
  • Handle client inquiries and requests, including basic money movement, technology issues, and account opening and updates.
  • Generate reports and documents as requested and process items for client accounts and files.
  • Maintain and organize client database and files.
  • Ensure transactions and tasks are assigned to team members and completed.
  • Provide support on technology issues, use of new technology, and general inquiries and escalations.
  • Gather and distribute information on updates to training, guidelines, technology, and other business-related information.
  • Develop rapport and instill confidence with clients to promote a positive experience.
  • Follow risk and compliance processes and policies to safeguard client assets and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of wealth management company operations and products is an asset.
  • Familiarity with technology applications and software used in the financial planning and investment industry.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and Conduct and Practices Handbook exam within 18 months of hire.
  • Basic specialized knowledge and good verbal and written communication skills.
