About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Serpentine Building Solutions Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, utilizing measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to create high-quality structures.
  • Develop and submit tenders and quotations for projects, taking into account costs and materials required.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet building specifications.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Conduct site surveys to determine building locations and levels, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Supervise and lead other workers to achieve project goals and deadlines.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in a related field, with a strong understanding of building codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty conditions, and for extended periods.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, on-the-road position, requiring 40 hours of work per week. The primary language of communication is English.
