Job Description

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assignments that require the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks for projects in the field of Rail Systems, including advanced train control systems, application software, and simulation.
  • They will also assist with technical design reviews and calculations checks, coordinate with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables, and assist in the design of various deliverable types for rail systems.
  • The candidate will support senior engineers and designers as needed, contribute to the overall needs for project completion, and improve technical communication and report writing skills.
  • Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Graduating with an Electrical, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering degree from an accredited University;
    • Having 1 – 2 years' experience in a similar role is an asset;
    • Being interested in rail systems as a career;
    • Having basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation;
    • Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset;
    • Knowledge or experience in a consultancy environment undertaking infrastructure projects, will be an asset;
    • Ability to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary interaction;
    • Attributes of a young professional, including team player, passion for learning, challenges, and field of study, relationship builders, and community oriented;
    • Interested in innovation, sustainability, safety, and quality.
