Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at INTER HARBOUR TRUCKING INC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and Unload Goods: Ensure that cargo is properly secured and unloaded at designated locations.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of your vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
  • Emergency Roadside Repairs: Perform basic repairs to ensure continued safe operation of your vehicle.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Regularly perform maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record important details such as cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transport.
Requirements
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A): Hold a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn the requirements of the job.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring 40 to 60 hours of work per week. The primary language of work is English.
