Tile Setter

At Build It Back, we are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered with tiles. You will also mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel. Your tasks will include setting tiles in place, aligning and straightening them, cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings, and instructing apprentices. Additionally, you will remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs, cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite, mix, lay, and polish terra surfaces, and install tile strips. This is a physically demanding role that requires handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and hand-eye coordination. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and work a minimum of 30 to 45 hours per week. If you have 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in this field, we encourage you to apply.
