Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Care Professional - Patient Services to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.

About the Role

This role involves working under the supervision of the Manager of Patient Care, providing independent nursing services to designated patients, administering prescribed medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in the coordination of patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments as per physician orders
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in the coordination of patient care and discharge planning
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A graduate degree in Licensed Practical Nursing from an approved program
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM)
  • Current certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting is an asset
Working Conditions

This position may require rotating shifts, weekends, and moderate to heavy physical effort. You must be able to work effectively in a demanding and stressful environment while maintaining good physical and mental health.

The Health Sciences Centre offers a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $83,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
